The Annual General Meeting of the Fire Investigators Association of Ireland will take place on Friday the 13th of April in the Dublin Fire Brigade training centre starting at 10.30am.

Section 1
Eligibility for Office: Persons standing for election onto the Ireland Committee must be a member of the IAAI.
Section 2
The Executives: The Executives of the Chapter shall be: President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer and Membership Secretary.
Writing the Initial Origin and Cause Report
This module presents the key elements of the initial origin and cause report and methods of clearly presenting findings in a professional manner. The program discusses the spectrum of types of investigative reports, the standards and guides that apply to report writing, provides suggested report content, and tips to assist the fire investigator in constructing solid reports and avoiding common mistakes. The information presented in this module can be applied to both public sector and private sector initial origin and cause reports.

The Fire Investigators Association of Ireland are running an all day seminar and workshop on investigations into electrical fires. The day will consist of morning lectures and interactive workshops all day. Doctor Nick Carey from the UK branch of the International Association of Arson Investigators will be running the workshop.
Ideally the lecture is aimed at fire brigade personnel, fire investigators, Gardai, PSNI and other professionals involved in the industry.
The day will take place on the 8th of February 2012 in the Dublin Fire Brigade Training Centre Marino.
The cost of the seminar is €20 for members and €30 for non-members not including lunch which is available for €10

IAAI UK 2012 Annual Training Conference
Update: 2012 Annual Training Conference
Dear IAAI-UK members,
The date for the 2012 IAAI-UK Annual Training Conference will be on Monday the 23rd January 2012.
The venue will be at the “Freddie Delve Suite” located within the London Fire Brigade’s Training Centre, 94 Southwark Bridge Road, London, SE1 0EG.
There will be a £10 charge for teas & coffee and for lunch on the day.

Marine Fire Investigation
Peter Mansi and Claire Purton have recentley attended a marine investigation (IAMI) conference in Croatia.
