Fire Scene Examination and Report Writing

The theme was how to investigate the scene of a fire and the compiling of a report. Case studies from Fire Investigators, information from the Garda Technical Bureau and scene photography were among the topics covered.

The conference was aimed at those working in the industry from Fire Investigators, Gardaí, Fire Services, Insurance Investigators, Police Services and other interested parties.

At this years Training Conference, delegates from Europe came to Dublin to support the FIAI. Peter Mansi, IAAI Director, President IAAI UK Chapter, Mike Burroughes, Conference Speaker, Fire Investigator, Devon & Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service, England, Kaloyan Markov, Police Inspector, Bulgaria, Paul Carolan, FIAI, John Taylor from SmokeBurns, England (Front Row) Georgy Kaimakanoff and Teodor Diulgiarsky Fire Investigators, Bulgarian Police. Other EU Delegates missing from the picture came from Spain, Luxembourg and Scotland. Picture taken outside of the Dublin Skylon Hotel, Drumcondra – thanks to them for their support to the FIAI.
