Our Annual Training Conference will be taking place on Tuesday 26th May 2026.
This year we will be returning to the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) Learning & Development College in Cookstown, where our conference was also hosted in 2024.
We have a fantastic line-up of speakers covering topics such as lithium ion batteries, e-scooters, arc mapping, fire investigator health and safety, as well as other research and case studies.

2024 ATC Agenda
The FIAI are excited to announce the agenda, on the theme of “Fire Investigation from Start to Finish“, for our upcoming Annual Training Conference on Wednesday 9th October 2024, which will take place at the new NIFRS Training Facility in Cookstown.
We have some excellent speakers and topics which should make for a interesting and informative day for all.

Change of Date for 2024 F.I.A.I. Annual Training Conference
Unfortunately the 2024 F.I.A.I. Annual Training Conference has been postponed from its originally planned date in June and will now take place in the Autumn instead.
The conference will still be hosted in Northern Ireland and we hope for the event to take place in early October 2024.

FIAI’s 2023 ATC approved for CPD hours with the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences
We are pleased to inform you that our annual training conference on Thursday 27th April 2023; “Modern Techniques and Developments in Fire Scene Investigation” has been approved by The Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences for CPD.
A total of 5 hours CPD can be claimed for attendance at this event.
Certificates of attendance will be provided on the day.
